We removed and hauled away all old gutters, installed new vinyl soffit and aluminum fascia on entire house, and installed new seamless aluminum gutters and reuse downspouts. Then we removed lattice and reinforced beam closest to the house. We installed tongue and groove cedar deck as well as 60 mil TPO membrane to top of T&G cedar. Afterward, we removed several layers of shingles and extended the membrane up the slope and then re-shingled. We fabricated diverter below valley to divert water onto the roof. Finally, we installed new gutter and downspout on the new porch.
